Justine Scaccia, Graduate Student, USA

Justine is a student with the Regional Program in Veterinary Medicine. She will attend her first year of veterinary school at Montana State University and will complete the program at Washington State University. Justine earned two undergraduate degrees: one in Psychology at the University of Montana and she recently earned her second Bachelor of Science in Microbiology at Montana State University. Through her work with a variety of domestics and wildlife in clinical and rehabilitative settings, Justine became interested in pursuing a DVM focused on wildlife and shelter medicine. Concurrently, during her coursework at MSU, Justine became interested in wildlife diseases and how it relates to global health outreach. She will pursue a Master of Science alongside her DVM that focuses on pathogenic interactions within the host.
